Aly, my special pound puppy Posted by Hello

We have two Yorkies too, but Aly is my dog. Her mother was an abused/starving Rottweiler mix with a mess of puppies. Animal Control saved all of them and brought charges against the abuser/jerk. The poor puppies were existing on what little milk the mother could provide, and their own waste. I think that is why she will eat ANYTHING. We thought she was a goner when she ate a box of D-Con. Of course it was the weekend and our Vet was unavailable. The emergency animal hospital told us to feed her several ounces of peroxide, to make her throw up. Thankfully, she did eventually....I was so scared. So we do not use D-Con at our cabin any longer. Dang mice!

Casual Cuddles Posted by Hello

This is the sweater! Joanne finished it this morning. It is way too warm to wear. I tried it on and almost got heat stroke. It was supposed to be made with an expensive cashmere yarn, but instead I chose some Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran. The color in the pic is not very accurate either. Can't wait for Fall!
My knitting is getting nowhere fast. My wrists are aching from all the purse knitting, so I have been resting.
Looks like a storm is brewing so all the doors and windows are open for the good smells!

Red and Black Booga Posted by Hello

These bags are so fun to knit. They are the one thing I DO seem to finish! My super skinny daughter, Bethany, is modeling the bag I knit for her friend. Bethany is almost 19 and graduates from cosmetology school in August. She knits too! (Mostly scarves since her life is so busy.) I started another Booga in purple, for her friend Andrea.
I keep seeing finished Sophie's everywhere, so that is my next bag.

My friend Joanne is putting the buttons on the sweater she knit for me. I will get pics as soon as I get my grubby mitts on it!
