It is SO hot!  The weather pixie says 99 degrees, but that is so wrong.  It is like 104!  Our house has an evaporative cooler, and at 104 it is quite useless.  Oh I forgot, it's a DRY heat.  That makes it so much better.  Aside from the heat, this has been the most perfect day to knit.  But have I yet? No.  Want to know why?  My wrists are killin' me!  I slapped a couple of those Salonpas pain relieving patches on both of my wrists this morning.  Looked like a suicide attempt victim.  Did it help, you ask?  Not really.  It actually made the pain a little worse.  When ye olde CTS flares up, the only thing that seems to help me is a big fat Darvocet.  I'm pretty wimpy, so one pill works for days on me.  I had surgery on my right wrist in January, 2000.  Didn't help, and now the left wrist is just as bad.  So you just learn to deal with the pain.  Pills, patches, hot wax, whatever it takes.  Today is my daughter's 19th birthday.  We had cake and stuff last night for her.  Tonight she is going out with her friends to a fancy restaurant.  Home Town Buffet I think she called it.  Not really.  She doesn't know where they are taking her.  After school she was supposed to get dressed up and be ready for wherever it is they are taking her.  I can't believe she is 19!  Time sure does fly.  Oh, back to the perfect knitting-but-not-knitting-day...My husband is gone for 2 days on a camping trip, that's why I should be knitting non-stop.  Maybe this evening.  Hmmm, what's on TV?

I am such a psycho- knitter.  I see so many projects that I love, I start them, I see another, I start that one, and the list goes on!  It's a crazy vicious cycle.  And I keep acquiring yarn!  OOOOH soft....must have!  I bought one of those tiny skeins of Lorna's Laces Angel, in sherbet.  Oh.My.Goodness.  Like heaven in the palm of your hand.  I am keeping it to use like a stress ball.  I didn't have anything in mind to knit with it when I bought it.  Just wanted it to hold.  I bought my first Rowan Calmer book, and some yarn too.  I bought enough yarn to make Aura, and Loll.  Then I ordered some more from gotYarn.com , on sale, to make Cloud or Air.  I am using Calm 461 for Aura and Loll, and ordered Drift 460 for the Cloud or Air.  I have never done a lace pattern, and I am lovin' this one for Aura.  I don't know any better, but it is very satisfying, this lacey stuff.  I have a bunch of yarn to make some more felted bags.  Good Christmas gifts I think.  Better start now!  Oh, and I bought a felted bag from Rachelle at http://www.guardianforgillian.com/  She is making the cutest bags that Amy designed.  It is for a great cause!  And she was so quick to ship.  I gave the bag to my daughter and she was delighted.  These bags would make great gifts, and you would be helping little Gillian too!  So just DO IT!
