Finished the Bottoms Up Bucket, will get a pic up soon.
After reading some of the popular blogs out there, I was feeling a little inadequate as a knitter. We all have to start somewhere don't we? So what if we only knit small, but useful items. We are not all going to be master knitter's! We are not all going to be designer's either! Why put us down? Why can't you just feel blessed that you were given a talent, and put it to good use? Instead, it makes you feel better to blast the less talented for their attempts at knitting. How sad!
I am going to continue to knit, and hopefully, with time, I will be able to tackle some more serious projects. So there!

WHEW! Just got back from a mini vacation to San Diego and then El Segundo. Didn't do anything but rest and kick back. Well, we did hit a lot of yarn stores in Southern California. That was fun! I have to say, there were two stores that stood out as my favorites so far. The first was Common Threads, in Encinitas. What a nice store! Friendly and helpful people, I thought they had good prices too. I noticed that they are mentioned in the new FCEK. The second on my list is the Alamitos Bay Yarn Company in Long Beach. Neat place in one of the marina's there. Very quaint, tons of nice yarn! Ginger, the co-owner, was very nice too. L'Atelier in Santa Monica is also a cute little place with nice people, but it is quite small. I love the way they have it decorated though, my style.
I worked on my Bottoms Up Bucket and it is almost finished. I just love the way Bonne Marie writes the pattern. Quite easy for those of us who are easily confused! I think I will order the ChicKami next!
